Slideshow Settings
Customise how photos and videos play on your frames — transitions, timing, order, and display options.
#Slideshow Settings
Slideshow Settings let you fine-tune exactly how your photos and videos appear on your frames. Open them from Settings → Slideshow Settings, or from the settings icon on any frame.
#Photo display duration
Controls how long each photo stays on screen before moving to the next.
- Short (5–10 seconds) — Creates a lively, ever-changing display.
- Long (30 seconds to a few minutes) — Feels calmer, more like a classic photo frame.
#Transitions
Choose the animation that plays between photos:
- Fade — A smooth crossfade. Works beautifully for any type of photo.
- Slide — Photos slide in from the side.
- Zoom — A gentle Ken Burns-style zoom effect.
- None — An instant cut with no animation.
Fade is the most popular choice for home displays.
#Playback order
- In order — Photos play from first to last, then loop.
- Shuffle — Shown in a random order. Great for large collections.
#Photos vs. videos
- Toggle whether videos play during the slideshow or are skipped.
- Set whether videos play with audio, at a lower volume, or silently.
- Set a video duration limit so very long clips don't dominate the slideshow.
Video playback in slideshows may require a Premium plan.
#How photos fill the screen
- Fill — Photo fills the entire screen (edges may be cropped if the photo's shape doesn't match the screen).
- Fit — The full photo is always visible, with bars on the sides or top if needed.
For most setups, Fill looks best on landscape screens.
#Slideshow passcode
Lock the slideshow so it can't be stopped or changed without a code. Useful for frames in shared spaces.
To set this up: go to Slideshow Settings → Security and enable Slideshow Passcode. See Security & Passcode for more.
#Resetting to defaults
If you want to start fresh, tap Reset Settings at the bottom of Slideshow Settings and confirm. All values return to their defaults.
#Starting a slideshow
Once your settings look good, head to Frames, tap a frame, and tap Start Slideshow. Or open any album and tap Play.
