Everything you need to set up LumiFrame and start displaying your memories — from first launch to your first slideshow.

Welcome to LumiFrame! This guide walks you through your very first experience — from opening the app for the first time to having your photos playing on a frame.

#1. Create your account

When you open LumiFrame for the first time, you'll be asked to sign in or create a new account.

  1. Tap Create Account on the welcome screen.
  2. Enter your name, email address, and a password.
  3. Tap Create Account to continue.
  4. Check your email for a verification link and tap it to confirm your address.

Already have an account? Tap Sign In instead and enter your email and password.

You can update all of this later in Settings → Edit Profile.

#3. Grant permissions

LumiFrame will ask for a couple of permissions to work properly:

  • Photo Library access — so you can choose photos and videos to display.
  • Notifications — so you know when someone shares something with you or your frame needs attention.

Tap Allow for each. You can change these later in your phone's Settings if you change your mind.

#4. Connect your first frame

A "frame" in LumiFrame is the screen or device that displays your slideshows. This is typically a TV, tablet, or digital photo frame.

  1. Tap Connect a Frame (or follow the prompt on the home screen).
  2. Open the LumiFrame app on your frame device and note the pairing code shown.
  3. Enter that code in the mobile app.
  4. Give your frame a name — like "Living Room TV" — and tap Save.

Your frame is now connected and ready.

#5. Create your first album

  1. Tap Albums in the bottom navigation.
  2. Tap the + button to create a new album.
  3. Give it a name, then tap Create.
  4. Tap Add Media to choose photos or videos from your library.
  5. Select what you'd like to display and tap Done.

#6. Start your slideshow

  1. Go to Frames and tap your connected frame.
  2. Tap Start Slideshow.
  3. Choose the album you just created.
  4. Your photos will begin playing on your frame.
