Storage Health & Cleanup
How to check and fix storage issues, remove problem files, and keep LumiFrame running smoothly.
#Storage Health & Cleanup
Over time — especially after extended offline periods, device changes, or a lot of uploading — small inconsistencies can build up in your media library. LumiFrame's Storage Health tool finds and fixes these automatically.
#Opening Storage Health
- Go to Settings → Media Management.
- Tap Storage Health.
#What Storage Health checks
When you run a check, LumiFrame scans for:
- Orphaned files — Media that was partly uploaded but never fully linked to an album.
- Sync mismatches — Files that exist on your device but didn't make it to the cloud, or vice versa.
- Corrupted references — Album entries that point to media that no longer exists.
#Running a check
- Tap Quick Check to scan for common issues. This takes a few seconds.
- If any problems are found, they'll be listed with a description.
- Tap Fix (or Remove) next to any flagged item to resolve it.
For a more thorough scan, tap Verify Cloud — this checks that everything in your LumiFrame library is correctly stored in the cloud. It may take a minute or two.
#When to run a check
- Photos aren't appearing on your frames, even though you've added them.
- You see a photo listed in an album but it won't load.
- Your available storage looks lower than expected.
- The app was interrupted during a large upload.
- You recently switched to a new phone.
#Freeing up device storage
Storage Health is about fixing sync issues — for freeing up space on your phone, use Clear Local Cache in Settings → Media Management. This removes locally cached copies of media that are safely stored in the cloud, without deleting anything from your albums.
See Media & Storage for more on managing where your media lives.
